Five years ago, after a decade-long career pause to raise her three children, Stephanie DiPisa launched Solara Suncare, a multi-award-winning skin protection brand to solve a need for her children's allergies and her own health journey with Lyme Disease. Solara formulates skin-nourishing mineral sunscreen or the love of sensitive skin, our health and the planet.

Privately female + family owned, her products have earned numerous awards and credentials, and are favorites of celebrities, makeup artists, dermatologists and estheticians, and have been featured in Forbes, Vogue, Allure and many more. Today, Solara, the brand that DiPisa's children named, now has two collections and is seen on a wide range of shelves from its Luxe Collection at Neiman Marcus, Blue Mercury and top boutiques and spas around the country, to its Go! Collection found at Target and Whole Foods.

DiPisa launched Solara, her first entrepreneurial venture, at 40 years old, in her "second life" -- and as someone with no prior experience in the beauty industry. Before pausing to raise her family, she held senior leadership positions in the NYC agency world working with blue chip brands in baby-, home- and feminine-care like Gillette, Hyatt, Swiffer, Duracell and Pampers. She graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree from its College of Architecture + Urban Studies.
