Jasmine Star, Photographer & Business Strategist

On this episode of She’s Crafted To Thrive, our guest is Jasmine Star. She’s a photographer and business strategist from Newport Beach, California. If you are a creative entrepreneur and are struggling with family responsibilities, chronic health problems or even trying to figure what is happening next in your life or business, you’ll want to tune in.

Jasmine shares a very personal story of how going through a midlife crisis at 25 years old while doing all she could to support her family during a very difficult life battle shifted her view on her path at the time. You could say she was in-between the path she was on the and a new path to happy. She was determined to do what she loved, photography. The beautiful thing about Jasmine’s story is that all of us are constantly going through changes no matter how great or not great our life is. We can all fail if we don’t accept the challenge to grow, better ourselves and help the people we want to serve. Jasmine shares 3 things you need to do in order to pivot in your business as well as the mindset we should have when dealing with negativity in our business.

A little bit about Jasmine:

Jasmine Star dropped out of law school to pursue her dreams of being a photographer. In a few less than three years, she built an internationally recognized and award-winning business, later founding Social Curator, a social media marketing membership for business owners. Harnessing her chutzpah and hustle, Jasmine empowers entrepreneurs to build a brand, market it on social media, and create a life they love. Some days you'll find her featured in Forbes, Entrepreneur, and INC magazine, most days you'll find her in sweatpants scrolling Instagram, but her favorite days are spent with her dog and her high-school sweetheart, eating tacos.

A Fun little side note..Here’s a little back history on why Jasmine is like Kelly Clarkson famous in my book. I have been following Jasmine for a long time. I was initially introduced to her world of awesome sauce thanks to Creative Live, back in my photography business days. For the past year, I’ve been in Jasmine’ Stars Social Curator Group that helps creative entrepreneurs fill in the gaps and give strategic direction and planning to be more powerful in your marketing. For me, I was looking to take the stress, guesswork and writer’s block for captions to rest. Bonus points Jasmine Star was just a comment and email away. That is why I joined. But why I stay... The community, live training, and personal attention Jasmine gives is a cut above the rest. So needless to say when Jasmine offered to be a guest on my show after I appeared live on her Instagram Live Q&A, I was beyond the moon excited and said, “Yes!!!”.

I’d love to hear what you thought about this episode. Have you ever felt like you were stuck in the in-between? If so what helped you to stay motivated and flourish through the change?
